Info/description:
RA Clock easies the use of the Right Ascension (RA) setting circle mainly on equatorial mounts (e.g. EQ2) without a clock drive.
The RA Clock application mantains an internal sideral clock to eliminate the need of frequent re-calibration of the RA setting circle during an observing session.
After an initial alignment, given the RA coordinate of an object in the sky the RA Clock application computes and automatically updates the RA coordinate that the setting circle on the mount should read so that the telescope points to the object.
Update Description:
10/7/02 - Version 1.1.0:
- Uses a new way to specify how the RA setting circle is installed on the mount
- That should work with any mount, in both hemispheres. (Please read the instructions.)
