The original Doodle, last released in April, 1997, is now available for all PalmOS platforms and all PalmOS releases, v1.0 through v5.0.

The original Doodle provides the freehand drawing capabilities and drawing user interface of Diddle and DiddleBug.

The drawing capabilities include multiple levels of stroke smoothing, multiple pen shapes, multiple ink patterns, and multiple sketches.

The user interface uses a combination of title bar buttons, menus, and command characters to get the beginner started immediately and to let the expert work efficiently on a full screen drawing area..

This simple, intuitive, and powerful core has been enhanced and extended in this release with:

- Graphic buttons

- Destructive operation warnings

- Extensive help screens

- Add and subtract ink modes

- Ink shift operation

- Custom pen pick

- Custom ink pick

- Sketch beaming.

Doodle operates correctly on color and high resolution hardware, but as a black and white application at standard resolution.
