Palm OS 2.0

Info/description:

No need for deafening click sounds or expensive in-ear monitors: Keep rock solid time during gigs but save your hearing and your money - with the Palm metronome, Pocket Beat 3.5!

Features:

* Version 3.55 runs faster and is more stable on newer Palms due to added support for NVFS (non-volatile file system) PIM databases.

* VVTR - Pocket Beat's ground-breaking and patent pending Vivid Visual Tempo Reference display. Look directly at it, or let it hover in your peripheral vision.

* Gig setlist feature - another first among portable metronomes: 150 tempos for your setlist, including song titles are at your fingertips! Scroll through the setlist with the Palm 5-way pad left/right buttons, or just touch the word "Setlist" in the title bar to advance to the next tune.

* Cheat Sheets - New to version 3.5 - Add 10 lines of text to any tune in the setlist. Remind yourself about song structure, lyrics, patterns & chord changes. Your notes remain visible under the flashing tempo display.

* Custom beat patterns - New to version 3.5 - Define a voice (hat/bass/snare) for each beat in a pattern of up to 16 beats. Beat patterns can be an odd length for odd time practice.

* Tempo is extremely accurate! Better than umpteen other Palm Metronomes. Test the precision for yourself!

* Tap a count-off - tap 8 beats (quarter notes) on the bass drum using your fingertip or a stylus and the drummer will count in on his "hats" and continue in time to your tapped tempo!

* Metronome beeps can be enabled for tempo reference or for accompaniment while practicing guitar or other instrument.

Sampled drum sounds are available for tempo reference or practice accompaniment on Tungsten C, Tungsten E, Tungsten E2, Tungsten T3, Tungsten T5, Treo 600, Treo 650 (new!), and Zire 71 handhelds. These are units personally tested by the author. Untested units may still support sampled sound. See the help file included in the download for more details.

* Shuffle feel is supported for auditory tempo reference / accompaniment.

* Dual tempo and feel settings - easily switch between two specific tempos with the Palm scroll up/down buttons; this is useful in many educational and practice situations.

* A lot of power and flexibility packed into a friendly looking, uncluttered interface.

* Works even on older Palms! Requires only Palm OS 2.0 or higher. A color screen is recommended to make the most of VVTR.
