Info/description:

Spruce up your Palm T3, T5, TX or LifeDrive! mySkin! is an instant Graffiti writing area and statusbar (DIA) skin loader and manager for the Palm Tungsten T3, T5, T|X and LifeDrive.

If you are also interested in a new fast input system, using the easy-to-use ATOMIK virtual keyboard layout (according to research data from IBM, it can yield 45 wpm) with support for macros, you will be interested in my utility myKbd. myKbd in fact includes all the features of mySkin. (There is also a discount for mySkin users.)

Free eight day trial.

* Instant loading: No reset is needed to load new skins--you see them instantly!

* Photo support: Put photos from your PDA's memory or SD card right into your input area (T5, T|X and LifeDrive only).

* Home button support on T|X: Optionally replace search button with a home button on the Palm T|X statusbar that goes back to applications or, when held down, pops up a list of the last couple of applications as well as of favorite applications, Desk Accessories or preference panels. (Search is still accessible either from this list or by holding down menu button.)

* Quick recolorize: Change the color scheme of your current scheme with three taps.

* Cross-loading: Load T3 DIA skins on T5, TX and LifeDrive units (read instructions carefully first).

* 16-bit support: DIA skins used to be 8-bit which resulted in low quality, especially for photo skins. Now DIA skins can be in brilliant full 16-bit color.

* SD support: Save memory by storing all your skins except the currently loaded data on SD. Move all your skins at once there.

* Mixing and matching: Where permitted by copyright law, you can mix and match the buttons from one skin, the Graffiti backgrounds from another and the statusbar from another and save your mixed skins to a new skin.

* Compact skins: Save memory by removing skin components that duplicate data in your ROM. You can now distribute skins that do not include all the skin components--the missing components will be copied from your ROM. In some countries (e.g., the U.K.) copying components from the ROM may be legally problematic, and so you perhaps you cannot legally use partial skins like the included example skins.

* Don't crash! Loading skins in other ways (whether by direct hotsync or via a free skin loader) can cause occasional crashes in the clock popup window or else will omit the RAM icon in the clock popup. mySkin solves this problem. Moreover, skins stored in RAM in at least one alternate format cause crashes with some backup programs. They can be converted by mySkin to mySkin's safer format.

* Color tweaks: Set application icons to show in full color in DIA area, or control the color they show up in two-color mode. Control statusbar clock color.

* Easy support for MessagEaseStamp and FitalyVirtual: Load any skin, and then MERGE the MessagEaseStamp or FitalyVirtual components on top of it from the default MessagEaseStamp or FitalyVirtual skins.

* Free updates: Your registration code will either work on all future mySkin versions or you will be issued a new one.

This product used to be known as SkinT3! and SkinDIA!. Upgrades from these are free: just hotsync the new shareware version after turning off RAM icon support in the old version.
