Treo 800w: Palm Enables Voice Dialing Over Bluetooth |
|
As it turns out, Palm didn't include support for voice dialing over Bluetooth on the new Treo 800w, launched by Sprint in the U.S. a couple of weeks ago. It would be a great feature to have for a device with Bluetooth 2.0, which makes the smartphone compatible with any number of wireless headsets and car kits for hands-free calling. Quick to make up for the mistake, Palm has posted a software update [http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/treo800wbluetooth/index.html] to enable voice dialing for its newest Windows Mobile. Install the update , carefully following Palm's directions, and you'll be able to say the name of the person you want to call into your headset to that individual in your contact list dialed automatically. The Treo 800w is Palm's first Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional model to support Sprint's speedy EV-DO Rev. A cellular-data network out of the box.
