A Palm Might Fulfill Your Needs

by Michael Erikson

With so many of us on the go and away from our computers, it is not always a good idea to be out of touch with work and personal communication. Appointments become forgotten, important documents sit and wait on our computers and in general, it is a pain to leave our communication center.

Now, you do not have to worry about being out of reach. A Palm can keep track of your appointments and can send and receive emails. New models even combine the use of your computer with the ability to make and receive phone calls.

Today's Palm is much more advanced than the old pocket computer. There are even palm software like games, and listen to music is no problem. The Palm Pilot has come a long way since the start, today it works like a mini PC with the functionality of a regular PC. You can browse the internet, send emails, organize your life and your files.

The Smartphone is a combo of a regular PDA and a cell phone. In the latest product line Palm Centro, Palm introduces their new Smartphone which is miles away from the old PalmPilot when it comes to power and features. The hardware have support for Palm OS and Windows Mobile, that brings even more diversity to the table.

Palm's latest product line is called Palm Centro and is the new generation of so called Smartphones, the first generation of Palm's handheld device's was called Palm Pilot, . Palm's pocket computers handhelds has support to run Palm OS as well as Windows Mobile and with the latest hardware and operating systems like Window Mobile version 6, they are now actually Smartphones and not PDA's any more.

The combination of a PDA and a cell phone is called Smartphone, many companies are choosing this "new PDA" over the old, modern operating Systems like Windows Mobile 6 with support for voice communications over the mobile phone network is increasing in popularity. Many companies even changed their selling tactics with the advent of this new gadget.

Even if you already have a cell phone, the PDA can still be used for its scheduling capabilities; however, once you have fully mastered the PDA, you'll never want to go back to a paper planner again.
